This law is in place for safety, to keep drivers concentrating on the roadways and not on distracting lights from other cars.

If you want to get under car lighting to customize your car for show purposes, then it is not necessary for you to find out about the laws concerning this lighting in your area because you will probably never drive it on the roadways. But if you want this type of lighting so that your car is the center of attention as you drive down the street, it is a very good idea to check with your local authorities to guarantee that you will not be breaking any laws while you do it.
